Turkish Airlines: Why are flights so cheap?

Why are flights so cheap? I asked around and I was told that they are subsidized by there government but I don't think that the reason they give a world class experience to there passengers. This will give you my experience as a passenger, so travel with me.........
As I the interior seemed clean and inviting(I guess its up to snuff with other airlines but that where it ends).
Follow me...............Boarded early and seems pretty nice. All of the staff have been friendly so far. I will write more during the meals and flight. 10:34pm

Then they have the nerve to come around with a tray of this delicious sweet! "Turkish delight" called Lokum. I had two.:)

Have you seen this before? "Chef on board"!!!!

Dinner time!!!! All was tasty and came with free spirits!!!! ahhhhhhhhh

My first look at Istanbul through a peep hole.......

   I did for get to mention a small care package they give you which included: eye mask, socks with rubber bottoms, slippers, lip balm, tooth pate and brush. Also each seat came with a blanket and pillow. First class service in economy!!!!!!!!!

My opinion of Turkish Airlines:

  They called my seat economy class, let me tell you, It was world class service with a economy price. I do reccomend this airlines if you are looking to travel to Europe!!!!
