Arriving and waking up in Trevignano Romano.

My hosts Roberta and Marco picked me up at the airport and we headed home in the dark. I was sad beacause I could not see the countryside. I was exhausted due to being awake for 28 hours now and of course the jet lag!!!!!!!! Before going home we went to a small local pub in town for a beer and a pannini(Procciutto and mozzerella). The pub made me almost feel as if I was in the states. It was a pub featuring music and art showcasing all the artists I know.

My first site of Italy was this!

My look at the small town of Trevignano Romano , around 11:30pm.

We went down the street to a pub that was still open and had a beer and a pananni.
I headed home and passed out!

Buongiorno Italy!!!!
This is what I woke up to!!!

My first breakfast looked like this!

After breakfast I was taken through town to get my bearings of the local area(I'm getting my walking legs).
Here are some pics of town.

Yes, My first cappuccino in town. OMG!!!
Lake Bracciano
Natural mountain springs constantly runs water, and yes you can drink the water!
We also ran some errands to his local taylor shop.

After a long walk around the lake, did I mention after a long walk, and yes after a lonnnngggg walk we finally headed home to rest my weary body from jet lag and walking a marathon.

We settled in for lunch!
Simple pasta with soft salami, extra virgin olive oil, garden pepper and garlic. I forgot, we threw some graded pecorino over the dish!!!!!
Cheese and soppressata (spelling?)

After a good long nap, Dinner!!!!
Lentil stew!!!!!!!!!!

This day ends and can't wait for tomorrow! Ciao Ciao for now
Buono Notte
Till the next thought.......................

  1. I'm loving your posts. Brings me back a few months to when I was in Sicily. Did you drink the water? It's so sweet and pure. I'm so jealous right now and tell your new family that I love their cat placemats.
